In 2016, Østnes cooperated with composer and jazz trumpeter Nils Petter Molvær to visually capture his music. The photographs were exhibited in The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, and served as a backdrop for Nils Petter Molvær’s project with the National Ballet. The project was a great success, leading to tour with the Bolshoi Theatre & Opera, featuring concerts in Hong Kong, Tokyo and other locations.
